  DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a State Park Intern, you will gain experience in park operations, resource management, administration and environmental education. You will work at Bald Eagle park office as well as state park field sites learning how to direct a park maintenance program, assist with park recreational and educational activities, manage a park's natural resources, and work with park staff in applying statewide park operation rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

  Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time internship lasting from 5/01/2024 through 8/30/2024.Student may work nights and weekends, not to exceed 37.5 hours a week.Typical hours 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.   QUALIFICATIONSInternship Requirements:Current full-time enrollment in a two-year degree, bachelor's degree or advanced degree program in one of the following acceptable majors:Park and Resource ManagementEnvironmental ScienceConservationWildlife TechnologyEnvironmental EducationAn approved major course which includes a qualifying 24 credit hours of study in the physical, biological and environmental sciences may be acceptable.Freshman year completedGood academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher)Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university
