SCOPE OF WORK (RESPONSIBILITIES)
• Transport arrangement for Tools, Mains and Spares for GA and JP ensuring timely delivery
o Planning and coordination of inbound shipments from source warehouses or supplier
o Domestic transport requirements (CW to sites, site to site transfer, site to CW transfers)
o Export from CW to other areas
o Should be able to handle customs queries, notices, customs representation on behalf of Company and liaison with local team to clear the issues quickly.
o Green lighting task for inbound shipments and approval of import/export customs declaration documents.
o To execute return/defective/non-return export/import activities for all company warehouse and site locations with the scope of country
• Consolidate documents required for securing customs release and permits to transport Tools, Mains and Spares and other shipments are available on time to meet target delivery dates
• Adhere to the country customs/port/EXIM regulations and provide latest updates on the latest EXIM (export / import) regulations and requirements to Company Supply Chain team and transport team and provide necessary escalation
• Secure correct and most cost-effective rates are provided by transport providers for shipment in coordination with procurement.
• Apply for tariff exemption for these goods originating from origin countries and make it eligible for tariff exemption for applicable shipments. Secure necessary permits for transportation activities
• Verify import/export classification of shipments including dangerous goods/restricted goods before booking and work with internal stakeholders/Vestas for necessary document requirements for shipment execution.
• Lead application/filing of necessary documentations, permits and certifications (e.g. local FDA product registrations, import and export permits, safety permits and certifications, regulatory documents)
• Manage and maintain documentations, permits and certifications (e.g. local FDA product registrations, import and export permits, safety permits and certifications, regulatory documents) to avoid unavailability or expiry.
• Transport process development and standardization for the region - Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
• Provide other adhoc transport support as needed
• Collaborate with external parties like customs clearance agent, transporters and other logistics service providers and optimize the performance of LSP to ensure on time pick up/delivery.
• Representation to customs/port authorities on behalf of vestas, to work closely with customs agents, shipping companies, customers, origin parties and other logistics service providers to resolve the shipment/customs challenges.
• To prepare and send MIS reports as per Company requirements.
• To closely work with vestas for PO/PR, Invoice submission, billing and LSP payment follow ups.
Candidate Basic Requirements:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in college or university
Minimum 5 Years experience in relevant field
Well versed in local language
Well versed in English language / to be able to communicate with global teams
Good excel/MS office skills
Open to travel as applicable
