responsibilities:
Your Responsibilities: As a key member of the Cloud Management Services team within the Teradata Vantage organization, you will be instrumental in developing cutting-edge cloud services and solutions for managing Teradata infrastructure on major public cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Your primary tasks will involve automating the deployment, configuration, and management of Privilege Access Management services. Additionally, you will be responsible for crafting solutions that seamlessly integrate third-party security software with the Teradata VantageCloud platform, adhering to stringent multi-national security standards.
Collaboration: Joining our Cloud Management Services team means contributing to the ongoing evolution of cloud security in tandem with the rapidly changing landscape of cloud technologies and emerging threats. We are committed to staying ahead, ensuring that cloud architectures are robustly safeguarded. Within the team, which operates under the Teradata Vantage organization, we specialize in designing and developing solutions for a critical aspect of cloud security-user access management. This includes Privileged Access Management (PAM), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Event-Based Access (EBA), access monitoring, and auditing for the Teradata VantageCloud platform. Your direct report will be the Sr. Manager, Cloud Engineering.
Your Qualifications: To be a successful candidate for this role,
minimum of 8 years of relevant experience along with a university degree, or 6 years of experience coupled with an advanced degree.
your expertise should extend to designing, building, and operating complex distributed software systems on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
proficiency in at least one modern general-purpose programming language (such as Python, Go, Java, C++, etc.) is essential.
proficiency in working with Linux operating systems and Bash/Shell scripting.
familiarity with microservices and REST APIs development is crucial.
Key Skills and Knowledge: Your skill set should encompass proficiency in continuous integration and continuous delivery, as well as expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, Saltstack, and CloudFormation. Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker and Kubernetes), along with knowledge of database, SQL, and network security configurations, is highly valued. Any background in Privileged Access Management (PAM), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), or Single Sign-On (SSO) is considered a significant plus.
