Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accountant in Ronkonkoma, New York, 11779, United States. The role mainly revolves around maintaining the general ledger, producing financial reports, and managing accounts payable. This position is suited for a candidate well-versed in using accounting software systems and familiar with the accounting functions in a telecom provider setting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide general ledger support and ensure all entries are accurate and up-to-date

• Produce comprehensive financial reports on a regular basis

• Manage accounts payable by properly coding expenses, processing invoices, executing check runs, and maintaining vendor relations

• Handle credit card management by tracking expenses and ensuring timely monthly payments

• Oversee cash and donation receipts along with Point Of Sale (POS) management

• Use Quickbooks and Bill.com for various accounting operations

• Leverage your knowledge of accounting in a non-profit environment to enhance financial operations

• Reconcile credit card statements and perform credit card reconciliations

• Audit financial transactions and documents to ensure accuracy

• Prepare and post journal entries as part of the accounting functions. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required

• Demonstrated skill in executing Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) management

• Knowledge and experience in Auditing

• Ability to perform Credit Card Reconciliation

• Familiarity with reviewing and interpreting Credit Card Statements

• Expertise in Financial Reporting

• Understanding and experience with General Ledger

• Experience with Quickbooks Online is necessary

• Competency in managing Journal Entries
