Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Venice, Florida. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for a range of accounting tasks, from processing accounts payable and receivable to reconciling bank statements and maintaining the general ledger. This position is ideal for a detail oriented individual with a strong grasp of accounting principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the processing of accounts payable and receivable.

• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy.

• Maintain and update the general ledger on a regular basis.

• Prepare and record journal entries as required.

• Ensure the month-end close process is completed in a timely and accurate manner.

• Utilize QuickBooks for various accounting tasks and procedures.

• Act as a key point of contact for accounting-related inquiries and issues.

• Implement and maintain organized and accurate customer credit records.

• Continuously monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when required.

• Assist in other accounting duties as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) operations

• Demonstrated experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Ability to perform accurate Bank Reconciliations

• Comprehensive knowledge of maintaining and updating General Ledger

• Experience in making precise Journal Entries

• Capable of performing Month End Close procedures efficiently

• Proficiency in using QuickBooks for accounting tasks
