SET THE COURSE
The Tommy Bahama Internship Program is one of many parts of our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives. As such, candidates that represent diverse backgrounds such as BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, People with Disabilities, Veterans and any other underrepresent group are highly encouraged to apply.
We will have two Merchandising Internship opportunities: One for our Women’s Merchandising Team and one for our Men’s Merchandising Team.
This intern will help deliver on cross-functional projects that support the development, purchasing, sales tracking and analysis of business. The Intern will have the opportunity to interact with teams involved in Design, Sourcing, Planning, Allocations, E Commerce and Visual Merchandising.
The Internship will last approximately 8 weeks during 2024 summer break timeframe: Running from June 17th, 2024, and ending August 9th, 2024.
This is a paid internship opportunity.

BE THE ISLAND GUIDE
Assists Merchandising Team to develop specific assortment plans within the Tommy Bahama line for upcoming season(s).
Assist Merchants in engaging in analysis of current selling.
Assist Merchants in sharing of sales data with broader organization.
Assist Merchants in interpreting the sales data to inform future product strategies.
Work with the Merchants in determining the best strategy for allocating seasonal product.
Assist Merchants in setting Visual in store direction.
Assist Merchants in determining and communicating E Commerce product strategies.
Assist Merchants in organization and preparation of samples for varied milestones.
Assist Merchants in preparing line sheets and pyramids used in tracking sales.
Assist Merchants is organization and tracking of samples.
ESSENTIALS FOR LIFE IN PARADISE
An expected graduation date of December 2023 or Spring 2024 in Fashion Design or related degree preferred
Knowledge in Excel and strong computer skills.
Self-starter attitude and the ability to be a team player within a fast-paced team
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong organization and multi-tasking skills
Strong information seeking-skills and a drive to make things happen
Ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse group
