　　Colleen McAuliffe 408.906.0669 at Robert Half is seeking an accomplished, motivated Staff Accountant for a permanent position within a prestigious Non-Profit company. As a Staff Accountant, you will be in charge of preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, you will also be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting. You will be able to lend your skills in helping the development and implementation of accounting policies. Also, you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This role is very integrated as it plays a part in producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. 　　Your responsibilities

　　Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries

　　Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision

　　Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

　　Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request

　　Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease

　　Maintain depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

　　Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations

　　Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation

　　Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives

　　Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

　　Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management

　　Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation

　　Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable

　　Requirements - Proficient in ERP systems

　　Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

　　Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired

　　Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred

　　Journal entries experience preferred

　　Strong familiarity with payroll

　　Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

　　Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

　　Spreadsheet and database capabilities

　　Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail

　　Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

　　Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines

　　BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

　　Recent and relevant accounting experience

　　Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
