　　We are looking for an experienced Accountant to take on a role with a large manufacturing company in Chattanooga Tennessee. The ideal candidate has worked in an accounting department for a blue collar company with atleast three years of experience. This role will focus on ledger based accounting, cost accounting, capital projects, financial reporting, and more. Experience with Sage or Oracle is a plus. 　　Responsibilities

　　Seeking an accountant with a "Go-Getter" mentality. Comfortable to get on the plant floor and learning labor variances and why are cost running high. Personality, motivation, and approach are key.

　　Cost Analysis:

　　Conduct regular analysis of production costs, identifying variances and trends.

　　Collaborate with production and procurement teams to understand cost drivers and optimize expenses.

　　Cost Reporting:

　　Prepare and present detailed cost reports to management, highlighting key cost elements and trends.

　　Assist in the development of cost accounting policies and procedures.

　　Inventory Management:

　　Monitor and reconcile inventory levels, ensuring accuracy and valuation consistency.

　　Collaborate with the inventory control team to minimize discrepancies and optimize inventory turnover.

　　Budgeting and Forecasting:

　　Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop accurate and realistic cost budgets.

　　Provide financial insights and contribute to the forecasting process.

　　Variance Analysis:

　　Investigate and explain variances between actual costs and budgeted/standard costs.

　　Recommend and implement corrective actions to address unfavorable variances.

　　Financial Reporting:

　　Assist in the preparation of financial statements related to cost accounting.

　　Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial data for internal and external reporting.
