MDD helps insurance companies, law firms, multinational corporations, government entities, and individuals calculate the true economic damages in claims or disputes.

　　MDD is looking for a Staff Accountant to serve as an essential supporting member of the forensic accounting team in our Troy office. The ideal candidate will have a sound technical background in accounting/finance, possess strong communication and analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.

　　Key Responsibilities

　　Organize and manage significant amounts of data

　　Analyze financial data, accounting documents and other case specific information for matters involving a wide range of industries from manufacturing to retail operations, professional services, healthcare and more

　　Prepare detailed financial models, databases and summaries using MS Excel

　　Communicate results of analysis in a clear and concise manner verbally and in writing

　　Evaluate insurance claims and economic damage analyses prepared by third parties

　　Work closely with senior staff on litigation cases, insurance claims and other forensic accounting matters

　　Assist in the preparation of expert reports and other reports of findings

　　Review reports and schedules to verify completeness and accuracy

　　Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and work within client deadlines

　　Qualifications

　　Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

　　Actively pursuing CPA designation, a plus

　　Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

　　Possess strong research skills

　　Fluency in multiple languages, a plus
