Description/Job Summary

　　POSITION SUMMARYThe Staff Accountant for Arkana Laboratories, monitors and maintains inventory levels. Coordinates with internal teams to ensure that procurement needs are met properly and timely. Prepares and tracks inventory purchase orders following established guidelines for purchasing materials as well as tracking supplier on-time delivery trends. Perform all receiving functions for inventory items as well as systematically issuing all inventory within the inventory management system. Performs weekly cycle counts and necessary inventory adjustments and root cause analysis for cycle count discrepancies. Daily reporting of all inventory transactions. Invoice review and coding for all inventory related items. Special projects and ad hoc reporting as directed by Sr. Cost Accountant.

　　Essential Functions Statement

　　Daily systematic receipt of all incoming material

　　Daily systematic issue of all outgoing material

　　Ensure all inventory is issued based on FIFO method

　　Weekly cycle counts and root cause analysis for material discrepancies

　　Maintain inventory levels, issuing purchase orders as needed

　　Daily reporting for inventory transactions

　　Maintain specified metrics for supplier scorecard

　　Invoice review and coding for all inventory items

　　Other projects as requested by Sr. Cost Accountant

　　SKILLS & ABILITIES

　　Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting

　　Experience: 1-3 years in inventory management role

　　Computer Skills:

　　Proficient in MS Office, Proficient Excel skills required.

　　Strong computer skills required.
