Key job responsibilities
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to understand business objectives, product vision, and user needs
Drive innovation by conducting user research, uncovering deep customer insights, and using data to inform UX strategies and design decisions
Develop wireframes, prototypes, and hi-fidelity mockups in Figma/In-vision to visualize and iterate on UX solutions for web applications
Implement new design systems and create new design patterns that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our Operations processes
Stay up to date and advocate for UX best practices. Champion empathy for users to continuously improve our UX design capabilities
Ensure a cohesive and consistent user experience across different products and services
Work through ambiguity in a fast-paced, agile environment, balancing multiple projects and priorities to meet tight deadlines
About the team
PLEX-PPM focuses on the scalable and automated optimization of operations through direct partnership with business stakeholders and tech teams (internal and external to PLEX). Advocating on behalf of NACF Operations, we are the business owners of various product suites that optimize operations planning and execution. PLEX-PPM builds and manages automated and scalable solutions that are intuitive, easy to use, and effective. PLEX-PPM is accountable to deciding ‘what to build next’ and surfacing effectiveness of its developed solutions through sophisticated measurement techniques. The team is also responsible for the validation, pilot, deployment, and Keeping-The-Lights-On (KTLO) for any products that we develop for the business.

Basic Qualifications
6+ years of design experience
Have an available online portfolio
Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax
Experience working with agile development teams (agile/scrum/kanban)
Experience defining and maintaining design patterns and UX standards
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with cross-functional teams across geographies. Willingness for occasional travel to user locations for close collaborations in the product design process
Experience with key contributions to successful development of new products from the ground up
Experience conducting user research and solid understanding of research methods such as usability testing, semi-structured interviews, surveys, heuristic evaluation, etc
Experience creating UX artifacts such as user personas, user journey maps, wireframes, design mockups, and prototypes
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills and the ability to articulate the rationale behind your design decisions
