About Sr. Technical Trainer

  Description:

  Collaborates with Operations, Maintenance, and Laboratory leadership to ensure all employee training, testing, and progression activities are completed on schedule.Partners with multiple departments to ensure all regulatory training is identified and completed by all employees.Communicates closely with HR regarding employee training/certification completion that results in pay adjustment or job advancement.Organize and facilitate regulatory and non-regulatory training programs. (Corporate and Site-Specific)Demonstrates thorough knowledge of areas of responsibilities (complex units, maintenance crafts, specialized training, etc.) as directed by the Technical Training Supervisor.Develops and maintains training schedules/employee assignments (periodic and annual) to meet regulatory deadlines.Prepares and coordinates Annual Tech Progression Test Reviews working with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to align with corporate Item-Writing requirements.Updates testing materials as directed by Unit Superintendents. Updates will be managed through LMS and PolicyTech systems.Manages all components of DOT qualification/requalification, including, but not limited to, DOT OQ, HazMat Subpart H&I, Control Room Management, OM&E, Drug & Alcohol, and annual Covered Task Assessment.Coordinates the implementation and execution of Corporate Training initiatives such as Refinery Supervisor Development (RSD), Operator Training Qualification (OTQ), Console Training Qualification (CTQ), etc.Manages and implements the Basic Operator Training (BOT) program, including classroom, activities, field trips, Task List Days, and Final Assessment. Coordinates, proctors and documents the Qualification/Unit Refresher Operations Training program.Coordinates training resources prior to delivering training activities (PowerPoint presentations; training aids; classroom setup, etc.)Proctors specific components of knowledge and performance verifications regarding Tech Progression, DOT, BOT, etc. Schedules test remediation and provides support for all job required training.Verifies training is completed according to regulation and documentation is properly retained.Participates in DOT, Corporate Health, Safety, and Environmental, and PSM audits to verify that site training is properly documented and meets or exceeds organizational requirements.Assists Technical Training team members as needed.This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.

  Qualifications:

  High School diploma or GED required.5 years of training development experience required.All successful candidates must be eligible to obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
