About Sr. Technical Program Manager, Mobile Device Management

  Description

Are you interested in building innovative services with global reach? Does impacting how mobile software is developed and deployed to manage hundreds of thousands of mobile devices sound like fun? We are looking for a talented Senior Technical Program Manager to join us in our mission to build end-user solutions and create developer tools for the industrial mobile devices deployed globally across Amazon's fulfillment and transportation network.

In this role, you will use a blend of technical knowledge, software/systems fundamentals, and program management mechanisms to solve problems and build solutions for highly-scaled enterprise needs. You'll work as an embedded member of a software and systems development team working on ambiguous problems that directly affect the daily experiences of hundreds of thousands of Amazon Associates. You will use your excellent program management and communication skills to deliver results for our internal customers while influencing the tech and business strategies of engineers, senior managers, and other stakeholders.

To be successful, you should be excited about tackling highly ambiguous problems without any predefined path where you need to manage complex projects. You should be team obsessed and enjoy helping the engineers on your team to build outstanding services in a collaborative atmosphere. You should be passionate about managing technical programs and keeping stakeholders informed, while also providing ongoing insights about systems and software architecture that drive high quality results in your team.

  Key job responsibilities

  • Manage large, complex technology initiatives, delivering critical solutions, significant improvements, new mechanisms, or deprecating systems that are no longer needed.

  • Understand the architecture of the systems you work with (e.g., Android, AWS) and influence team technical priorities and business strategy implementation.

  • Successfully partner with customers, stakeholders, and engineering teams to communicate ideas effectively to a wide range of audiences, including Directors and VPs.

  • Define clear program goals and objectives, drive decisions and set priority.

  • Proactively identify risks and bring them to the attention of your team and stakeholders with plans for mitigation before they become roadblocks.

  A day in the life

Amazon offers a full range of benefits that support you and eligible family members, including domestic partners and their children. Benefits can vary by location, the number of regularly scheduled hours you work, length of employment, and job status such as seasonal or temporary employment.

The benefits that generally apply to regular, full-time employees include:

  Medical, Dental, and Vision Coverage

  Maternity and Parental Leave Options

  Paid Time Off (PTO)

  401(k) Plan

If you are not sure that every qualification on the list above describes you exactly, we'd still love to hear from you!

At Amazon, we value people with unique backgrounds, experiences, and skillsets. If you’re passionate about this role and want to make an impact on a global scale, please apply!
