Your Role and Responsibilities

The Senior Software Implementation Engineer is responsible for understanding the end-to-end programmatic and technical processes that govern the program and be a proactive leader in cross-team activities related to architecture design/optimization, development, testing and validation, security accreditation, and issue resolution. Specific responsibilities will include the following:

Study, design, and recommend architecture changes to improve the system, respond to security vulnerabilities, respond to user requests, or to address new technologies

Obtain and maintain an understanding of applicable commercial technologies and changes in technology; translate this knowledge into optimization/changes to system capabilities, reliability, and maintainability

Apply broad understanding of DoD and IC stakeholders, work with the team to communicate system benefits and elicit additional users through outreach activities

Perform hands-on activities alongside the developer teams to assist with removing roadblocks and maintain the system

Implement DevSecOps workflow to govern processes for developer tasks

Contribute to technical exchange meetings (TEMs) within the contractor team, with the Government team, and with external stakeholders

Develop technical documentation to reflect system architecture, configuration, administration, and security control satisfaction

Apply knowledge in analyzing stakeholder needs and design capabilities to meet those needs

Create architecture views capturing system architecture, environment, and dependencies

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Expertise in developing, hardening, and deploying software in cloud-based architectures. Hands-on experience with GovCloud Amazon Web Services and classified Cloud Computing Services (C2S) Cloudera, Cloudera Flow Manager, Grafana, and Prometheus

Experience with agile workflow tools and code repositories and developing architecture views or system models

Familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF) security controls as they apply to a cloud-based system residing on Top Secret, Secret, and Unclassified domains

DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification (e.g. Security+) or the ability to obtain the certification within 90 days

Clearance: Active TS/SCI w/ ability to obtain CI Poly

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Experience on a large software program providing data broker, data lake, or data analysis capabilities

Familiarity with DoD and IC data missions

Familiarity with cloud computing services

The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
