  The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Research and Grant Administrator in our National Center office located in Dallas, TX. DFW is the preferred, but the location for this position is flexible.

  This is a full-time, benefits eligible, grant-funded opportunity through 12/2028.

  The Senior Research and Grant Administrator will lead collaboration among Research and Grants Administration staff and other Science/Food Is Medicine staff to develop processes for FIM Research awards.

  Responsibilities

  Develop processes for FIM Research awards

  Be responsible for RFP process for FIM trials

  Lead all aspects of research award agreements for approximately 20-25 trials simultaneously

  Review progress and financial reporting for awards

  Ensure appropriate regulatory compliance of funded trials (e.g., clinicaltrials.gov registration and reporting, INDs, Human subjects, single or central IRBs)

  Provide mentorship and training to study coordinators and other staff regarding regulatory requirements

  Qualifications

  Advanced Degree (MPH, MS, PhD, etc.) highly preferred, or equivalent work experience.

  Clinical or research experience in the cardiovascular, neuroscience, clinical trials, or related fields

  Staff position experience in not for profit, academic and/or government sectors or an active committee/ Board/ officer member in a professional member society

  Outstanding writing & communication skills with a publication history in peer reviewed journals

  Outstanding collaboration and group leadership skills

  Demonstrated experience in handling multiple long- and short-term projects concurrently

  Ability to understand, integrate and summarize scientific literature.
