Description
The Kuiper team is looking for an exceptional Senior Program Manager to join our team and drive operational improvements across our program. This role will engage directly with functional leaders (EHS, quality, etc.), operations managers, area managers, and associates to constantly raise the bar for processes in our warehouse spaces. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about continuous improvement: you love streamlining processes and you love sharing your approach with others. You use data to identify process defects and drive improvements at scale. You enjoy launching programs from the ground up and are at your best when you are inspiring others to drive improvements in their areas every day.
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Key job responsibilities
-Working across the Kuiper organization and partnering with other Amazon teams to build and launch a continuous improvement program for Kuiper warehouse spaces. This includes building an intake process, developing KPIs, implementing a leadership reporting cadence, and facilitating the process improvement activities themselves (eg. kaizen).
-Driving process standardization and adoption across multiple warehouse facilities, including planning, initiating and managing process changes.
-Using visual tools (value stream mapping, spaghetti diagrams, etc.) to map processes. Creating robust metrics and analyzing large data sets to enable data-driven decision-making at the executive level.
-Applying lean thinking and data-driven performance management to eliminate waste and drive process stability.
-Serving as a subject matter expert for Lean, Six Sigma, and Operational Excellence, sharing your knowledge with employees ranging from associates to senior leadership.
A day in the life
-You engage with operations managers, area managers and associates in both existing and new facilities to identify CI champions and project leads. You partner with them to develop and run CI efforts, ensuring process consistency across all operations.
-You demonstrate business acumen and skills in driving change by developing business proposals and driving implementation of recommendations through effective written and oral communication.
-You effectively lead cross-functional meetings with clear document writing, agenda creation, note capture and follow-up activity coordination.
