　　A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing directnursing care to residents, and supervising the day-to-day nursingactivities performed by nursing assistants. Such supervision must be inaccordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelinesand regulations governing the Community and as may be required by thedepartment director or supervisor to ensure the highest degree ofquality care is maintained.
