ServiceNow.org is seeking a Principal consultant to join the Inspire Value team which is an integral part of the Global Sales Go-to-Market team. This is a customer facing role that designs and leads strategic, consultative interactions to build consensus and alignment on how core capabilities of the ServiceNow platform can support CXO business transformation objectives, with specific focus on Nonprofit organizations. Through years of practical experience, executive gravitas and fundamental knowledge of business and technology trends the Principal consultant builds and develops trusted advisor relationships with customers, partners and internally across ServiceNow.
What you get to do:Customer AdvisoryEngage executives to expertly define and manage bespoke industry-aligned digital transformation advisory engagements at select key customers, leveraging ServiceNow methodologiesLead discovery workshops with customer leadership and their teams to understand key business objectives, challenges of prospective and existing customersDocument and present insights and recommended solutions to meet customer business objectivesCreate high-quality deliverables that communicate strategic alignment, present multi-year roadmaps and document the full business case to justify actionExpertly communicate and advise in 1:1 and 1: many environmentsSales & Customer Success AdvisoryLead the ServiceNow.org's DNA shift from transactional selling motions, to value selling by aligning and partnering pro-actively with Sales leadership to advise on embedding value into sales behaviors for the team.Work closely with sales & customer success to help define account plans and sales strategy for key accounts in the region.Provide analytical expertise to help assess and prioritize accounts and strategiesProvide full lifecycle business outcome and value realization advisoryThought leadershipIdentify, lead, and contribute to the creation of new IP for business development (best practices, white papers, workshops, etc.)Innovate on current methods and frameworksCollaborate with and enable the ServiceNow teams on a business consulting approach to salesQualifications
To be successful, the ideal candidate would have:A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience:Management consultant/ ex-management consultant from a top tier consulting firm with exposure to cloud technologies or a customer-facing business strategy manager with a leading technology vendorExecutive / leadership experience working on digital transformation projects and/or enterprise software deployments preferredMBA from a top tier institution is preferredDesire to support building a new function within ServiceNow; demonstrated interest operating in "start-up" mode, pro-active and resilient.Highly adept at navigating cross functional business processes and Industry trends (Experience in the Nonprofit sector is preferred)Experience developing and growing C-Level relationships with an ability to simplify and communicate complex topics to an audience with various functional knowledgeExcellent presentation skills including public speaking, meeting facilitation and white boardingHigh level of executive gravitas with a humble demeanorExemplary analytical and financial acumenEnjoy working in a highly collaborative, fast-paced and often ambiguous environmentWilling to travel up to 40-60% of the timeFor positions in New York City, we offer a base pay of $190,725 - $314,775, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
