　　Purpose:

　　The Senior Financial Analyst prepares and analyzes regulatory filings and management reports and assists with the company’s statutory financial statements. This position reports to the Director of Financial Reporting and Analysis but works independently with peers and leaders across the organization.

　　Accountabilities:

　　Analyzes actual statutory results to support management review of regulatory filings

　　Prepares the quarterly statutory basis MD&A and supports the Funding Agreement Backed Note program offering memorandums and supplements

　　Completes the Risk Based Capital (RBC) calculation quarterly. Regularly reviews NAIC communications related to changes in the RBC calculation

　　Assists with preparation and development of presentation decks for internal and external audiences

　　Partners with the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team and assists with quarterly analysis, plans, forecasts and rating agency surveys

　　Analyzes statutory benchmark results created by external parties

　　Responds to other departmental requests involving financial information and assists with departmental projects as assigned

　　Qualifications and Experience:

　　Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required

　　5 or more years of financial reporting and/or financial analysis experience; with experience in the insurance industry preferred

　　Strong analytical skills, with the ability to draw conclusions from research and report on findings

　　Strong communication skills and ability to work within a fast-paced environment are key

　　Proficient with MS Office products such as Word and Excel; candidates with advanced Excel skills preferred

　　Comfortable with accounting systems; experience with Oracle and Essbase is helpful
