Position SummaryThe University Council for Educational Administration (UCEA), in partnership with the Educational Administration Department at the Michigan State University College of Education, seeks applicants for a Post-Doctoral Research Associate to join the UCEA Headquarters leadership team. The post-doctoral research associate supports UCEA and Headquarters in a variety of ways, including research design and implementation, organizational development, graduate student programming, and special events management. The successful candidate will work under the direction of Dr. Mónica Byrne-Jiménez, Executive Director of UCEA, to advance the goals of UCEA and refine their own research agenda. This is a two-year appointment with possible renewal for a third year, depending upon satisfactory performance and the availability of funding.

Required DegreeDoctorate -Educational Leadership or related field
Minimum RequirementsEvidence of a research agenda focused on educational leadership, leadership development, and/or adult learningData organization and analysis skillsExperience with qualitative or quantitative analysis software (e.g., Qualtrics, NVivo, Dedoose, SPSS, STATA, Mplus, or R)Strong qualitative or quantitative research skills (e.g., program evaluation, critical methodologies, survey design)Ability to lead teams comprised of students and facultyOutstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projectsKnowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word) and other internet-based toolsDesired QualificationsExperience with, and commitment to leadership for/with diversity, equity, and inclusionKnowledge of K12/higher education leadership, principal preparation program development/evaluation, or educational policyEvidence of strong research management and coordination experienceRequired Application MaterialsCandidate Profile online; attach a cover letter, curriculum vitae, contact information for three professional references and academic writing sample.
