　　Job Purpose

　　Performs advanced research, development, and activities related to the application of actuarial principles for insurance/finance.

　　Essential Responsibilities

　　Sets and achieves goals and meets deadlines for actuarial projects.

　　Communicates with management on project status, concerns, etc. Leads projects as required.

　　Conducts and leads advanced analysis in one or more of several areas, including product development, financial modeling, financial reporting, risk analysis, and data analysis.

　　Applies relevant actuarial principles and standards of practice to work product.

　　Serves as a role model for and assists with the development of other actuarial staff.

　　Other Duties

　　Knowledge of advanced actuarial principles and standards of practice in order to apply to work product.

　　Ability to train or assist peers.

　　Advanced ability to use various computer applications and technical tools.

　　Sense of urgency and excellent follow through.

　　Must have the ability to handle multiple top priorities accurately and in a timely manner, and the ability to change priorities as needed.

　　Must be a proactive, creative, flexible and deductive thinker.

　　Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

　　Possess excellent communication skills.

　　Qualifications

　　Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field of study required.

　　2+ years of actuarial experience required.

　　3+ years of actuarial experience preferred.

　　Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) required.

　　Commitment to attaining the Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation required.
