Description

We are offering an opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the Manufacturing industry, located in North Hollywood, California. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be expected to assist with full-cycle accounting and financial analysis for assigned areas. This role will involve ensuring the accuracy of financial records and statements, and will require skills such as Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, General Ledger management, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP packages.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly journal entries for assigned areas

• Conduct monthly roll forwards and reconciliations of general ledger accounts

• Complete adjusting journal entries necessary to correctly state the general ledger accounts resulting from reconciliations

• Analyze general ledger accounts for unusual variances and make corrections through re-classes and other adjustments as necessary

• Prepare and analyze Financial Statements for assigned areas at month end, quarter end, and year end

• Assist with quarterly review analysis as needed

• Prepare audit and tax schedules for year end

• Assist with ad hoc accounting and financial projects as requested

Requirements

• Must have proven experience as a Sr. Accountant in the Manufacturing industry

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures

• Experience with financial reporting and general ledger structure

• Proficiency in large ERP softwares preferred

• Must have experience with account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and journal entries

• Adept in executing month-end close processes

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required
