Description

We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in the startup industry. The CFO will be responsible for creating financial models, assisting with board presentations, overseeing monthly close, and establishing financials.

Responsibilities:

• Create and manage financial models to aid in strategic decision-making

• Assist in the preparation and delivery of board presentations

• Oversee the monthly close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting

• Develop financials, including cash flow analysis, financial statement preparation, and pro forma financial statements

• Advise on financial strategies and contribute to overall company strategy and policy making

• Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances

• Coordinate with other members of the leadership team on budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors, and filing financial reports

• Implement and manage financial control systems to maintain the financial health of the organization.

Requirements

• Candidate must have a strong background in Cash Flow Analysis

• Proficiency in Financial Statement Preparation is required

• Experience with Pro Forma Financial Statements is necessary

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Strong strategic planning and business development skills

• High degree of professionalism and ethical standards

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field is required, a Master's Degree or higher is preferred

• Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation is preferred

• Proven experience as a CFO or related role within a similar industry.
