Description

This role involves applying your knowledge of general accounting principles, month-end closing, and business analysis skills to perform various transactional, analytical, and related functions in the accounting process. You will also have the chance to contribute to other functions where needed.

Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain journal entries

• Assist with month-end closing procedures

• Conduct balance sheet account reconciliations

• Administer real and personal property taxes as well as sales use tax

• Maintain fixed assets commissions

• Perform monthly Profit and Loss (P L) analysis

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations is mandatory.

• Experience with general ledger management and journal entries is required.

• Must demonstrate advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

• Must be able to handle month-end close procedures efficiently.

• A professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) is preferred.

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities are essential.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

• Must have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Familiarity with financial regulations and accounting principles.

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required. A Master's degree or equivalent is preferred.
