Description
In this position, you will be in charge of preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, creating budgets and forecasts, and preparing audits, as well as managing internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Candidates with strong analytical skills and a preference for challenging and fast-paced work environments will be successful in this position. Responsibilities
Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions
Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required
Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Engage in various department-wide initiatives
Present analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Requirements
Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired
Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Current and relevant ERP system experience
Critical thinking skills and the ability to retain complex work directions
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Expertise in Quickbooks Online
Solid understanding of Tax Planning Strategies
General Accounting experience preferred
Proficiency in Multi-state Tax Returns
SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
Must have excellent time management skills
Strong attention to detail
