Summary:The Outside Parts Sales Representative is responsible for growing parts business while continuously identifying and developing new business opportunities through existing accounts and prospective new accounts for Stoops Freightliner - Western Star.Duties and Responsibilities:Frequent local travel in assigned territory to make sales calls to trucking/leasing companies, truck/trailer independent repair facilities, municipalities, and school bus garagesEstablish and maintain strong relationships with new and current customersDevelop and maintain a thorough knowledge of products and services providedActively seek and identify prospective new customers through cold callingDevelop constant awareness of market/industry trends as well as competition/competitive products and communicate these with managementDevelop sales plans with management and review sales plan progress regularly to ensure personal and departmental goals are achievedTimely completion and submission of daily customer visit logsMaintain customer contact information and communications utilizing the Company's CRM SalesforceReview sales activities, new sales opportunities, and sales objectives with managementAssist with customer parts returns, issues, and disputes as requestedParticipate in job-related training and developmentCollaborate with internal departments on any customer needsForward any possible leads for sales or service to the appropriate person/departmentHelp customers with warranty problems when applicable per the policies and procedures of Stoops Freightliner - Western StarOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalentMinimum 3 years' experience in heavy-duty truck parts or serviceWorking knowledge of trucks, diesel engines, air brakes, HD transmission, axle, and drivelineSuperior selling skill based on probing to uncover customer needsGood customer service, communication, telephone, and organizational skillsSelf-motivated, driven individualTruck Country / Stoops Freightliner-Western Star Offers:Competitive SalaryComprehensive Benefit Package401K Plan with Company MatchTruck Country / Stoops Freightliner-Western Star is one of the largest Freightliner dealership groups in the U.S. today, serving customers at locations in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and Wisconsin.  For nearly 60 years, Truck Country/Stoops has offered new and used medium and heavy-duty trucks, expert service, an extensive parts inventory, and convenient financing options.
