　　Job Summary

　　Denver Health is recruiting for an Intermittent/PRN Internal Medicinephysician to join our adult primary care team. Diagnose and providenonsurgical treatment for a wide range of diseases and injuries of internalorgan systems. Provide care mainly for adults and adolescents primarily in anoutpatient setting.

　　Essential Functions:

　　Analyze records, reports, test results, or examination information todiagnose medical condition of patient. (10%)Treat internal disorders, such as hypertension, heart disease,diabetes, or problems of the lung, brain, kidney, or gastrointestinaltract. (1Prescribe or administer medication, therapy, and other specialized medicalcare to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury. (10%)Manage and treat common health problems, such as infections, influenza orpneumonia, as well as serious, chronic, and complex illnesses, inadolescents, adults, and the elderly. (10%)Provide and manage long-term, comprehensive medical care, includingdiagnosis and nonsurgical treatment of diseases, for adult patients in anoffice or hospital. (10%)Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments withpatients. (10%)Advise patients and community members concerning diet, activity,hygiene, and disease prevention. (10%)Make diagnoses when different illnesses occur together or in situations wherethe diagnosis may be obscure. (10%)Refer patient to medical specialist or other practitioner when necessary.(10%)Collect medical history, monitor patients' conditions and progress,provide consulting services to other providers as needed, and advise otherproviders of patient's risk status. (10%)

　　Education:Doctorate Degree Graduate of an accredited medical school RequiredLicenses:MD-Physician - State Medical Board Required

　　Certifications:Basic Life Support required by American Heart Association or Red Cross.
