Our client, located in Marysville, Ohio is looking to add a SQL DBA to the team. This is a Hybrid role, and you will be required to go onsite 2+ days per week. For highly qualified individuals, there may be an opportunity to work remote.
Responsibilities:
The SQL Server DBA provides a technical role in maintaining the operational stability and security of AHMs SQL Server database environment in a cost-effective manner.
Additional responsibilities include:
Providing DBA resources for database development projects funded by the application teams/business act as liaison between the SQL Server database team and application teams he/she ensures that all project deliverables by the DBA team are completed within schedule and budget.
The SQL Server DBA also works closely with Data Architecture team in understanding project requirements leading to the design build and implementation of SQL Server databases.

Tuning Monitoring and Patching
Inter/Intra Organizational Communication
Backup and Recovery
Security and Compliance of the SQL Server database environment
What will this person be working on?
As a SQL Database Administrator this person will be working closely with application teams for implementing project specific tasks maintain existing databases and perform daily/weekly/monthly/yearly tasks. Will be involved in Disaster Recovery activities.
Requirements
Position Success Criteria Desired:
5-8 years of Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator experience.
2-4 years of experience in working large scale projects.
Should have knowledge of cloud computing concepts virtualization and infrastructure-as-a-service IaaS platforms.
1-2 years of experience in SOX related requests.
Strong technical knowledge of SQL Server database administration architecture/design data analysis and management.
Strong technical knowledge of current SQL Server database systems and versions including other Windows based tools utilities and active directory.
Extensive application support experience working with application teams.
High-level understanding of IT infrastructure planning and development.
Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives. In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
Good understanding of Project Management skills. Automotive industry IT knowledge is preferred.
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
Bachelors or masters degree in information systems IS Computer Science software engineering information technology and/or equivalent industry experience.
