Job Description:

Currently seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team in Clearwater, FL. This person conducts data collection activities associated with the completion of a typical Sewer System Evaluation Survey (SSES) related project. Individual will be responsible for gathering and recording data in an efficient and timely manner. Individual must ensure that all data is recorded accurately.

The primary work activities include the following:

Performing field inspections and investigations by collecting high quality and accurate data

Manhole Inspections - record various structure attributes and identify defects

Smoke Testing - conduct smoke tests and record defects encountered

Night Flow Isolations - measure wastewater flows during non-peak usage

Dye Testing - conduct dye water tracing and dye water flooding

Flow Monitoring - install maintain open channel flow metering equipment

Work in Confined Spaces, including sanitary sewer manholes

This position requires a lot of walking outside through various terrain, in extreme heat and cold

Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED is required

Previous skilled trade experience preferred but not required

Must be able to travel

Willing to work in and around open sanitary sewer lines

Have the ability to obtain and maintain a Confined Space Entry certification

Should possess basic computer skills

Good technical skills

Must be able to change gears on the fly, if a project is canceled or location changes

Must be willing to work in hot smelly sewers, work in confined spaces, work in the outside elements, and have the ability to work independently

Ability to work independently, without someone breathing down your neck. You are given tasks and reasonable time tables

The work performed helps the environment, by preventing cave ins and sewage leaks/spill overs

If they have technical aptitude, they can learn the data analysis functions (reviewing data, interpreting data, predicting impacts, developing solutions)
