Description

　　Summary:

　　Reporting to the Manager, Mascots & Entertainment, the Washington Nationals are seeking an outgoing, energetic individual to be the in-game host at all Washington Nationals Spring Training home games at The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches. The in-game host is responsible for improving the experience, leading the execution and announcing of all fan-facing in-game promotions. The ideal host must be comfortable engaging with large crowds and fans of all ages. This part-time position pays $17/hr.

　　Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

　　Ability to memorize scripts and have the capacity to improvise when needed.

　　A strong stage presence and comfortability engaging large crowds.

　　Communicate each promotion and how it should be executed with chosen contestants.

　　Announce the Presidents Race during the middle of the 4th

　　Other duties as assigned.

　　Requirements:

　　Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

　　High School Diploma or GED required.

　　A minimum of 1 year of experience in entertainment, performing in front of large crowds or cameras.

　　Must be 18 years or older.

　　Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to perform essential functions

　　Must be able to arrive at The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches at least 90 minutes prior to first pitch.

　　Must be available to work all of the 2024 Nationals Spring Training home games and outside appearances as needed, including days, nights, weekends and holidays.

　　Must be courteous and have good listening and multi-tasking skills.

　　Strong ability to work well with co-workers and supervisors in a team environment and professional manner.

　　Must have reliable transportation and live in or close to the West Palm Beach, FL area.

　　Knowledge of baseball is preferred.

　　Physical/Environmental Requirements

　　Gameday Seasonal: Job requires employees to function in a high activity and heavily crowded outdoor professional sports venue. May work at heights. Employee will be exposed to inclement weather of varying degrees. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk long distances, and climb up/down stairs. The employee is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit and must lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
