Position Overview
The Coca-Cola's Summer Internship program is an 8-10 week experience at our headquarters in Atlanta, GA. Looking for a fast-paced, technically challenging opportunity to work on innovation for global sparkling flavor brands such as Sprite, Fanta and Schweppes? As an intern in the Sparkling Flavors Category Innovation team, you will design and execute experiments related to product development, leveraging technical knowledge to understand and improve beverages.
Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities
Conduct experiments to deliver new products, evaluate ingredients, or materials, products, or processes.
Record data from analyses or experiments in a computer, logbook or laboratory notebook.
Prepare samples and sampling plan for ingredients, intermediate or finished products, or other materials to perform analyses (e.g., chemical, physical, sensory, microbiological).
Use and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation (e.g., troubleshooting, conducting preventative maintenance, calibrating, repairing)
Write detailed & accurate reports for analyses, experiments, or projects.
Functional Skills
Laboratory Practices: Knowledge and application of Good Laboratory Practices (e.g., handling of chemicals and glassware, preparation of standards and reagents, proper measuring techniques, data management, housekeeping).
Communication: Ability to communicate clearly in email and verbally.
Computer Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Basic Organic Chemistry: Knowledge of basic organic structures, reactions, functional groups, and properties needed to understand the reactions of organic compounds in Company products.
Related Work Experience
Prior Laboratory Experience preferred.
Education Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in disciplines such as Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering with a final graduation date no earlier than December 2024.
Compensation
$5026 per month
Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
