What You'll Do
Cisco IT is looking for a dynamic Software Engineering Leader with hands on coding experience and eager to drive innovation in one of the most groundbreaking Commerce platforms in the market. As a manager of one or more Agile Teams, you will be responsible for manage engineers and resources, mentor the team(s), develop people, strengthen the team and promote, diversity, equity, inclusion, and integrity in our workplace. Engage with the product owners to prioritize work, improve performance, productivity, velocity, time to market and quality of the deliverables. You will work with key stakeholders including vendors to address issues that impede the success of the team(s).
Attract and retain cross functional, well formed, well balanced Agile Team(s), and provide technical advice and guidance.
Perform performance reviews, reward the team, and support professional development
Address day to day issues and performance feedback with Vendor Manager
Establish Goals and Objectives for the Agile Team(s)
Ensure that applications meet all coding and security standards (eg SOX)
Understand all team metrics so you can help the team improvement
Use data to show where improvements can be made external to the team to help the team improve
Work with Scrum Lead to monitor employee satisfaction and take necessary action to improve this metric when necessary
Who You'll Work With
You'll work with business partners as well as your team of data and IT professionals, scrum teams, engineers, and business analysts
You'll get to work with customer and partner experience teams to shape the future of Cisco's customer and partner lifecycle
You will work with Product Owners for handling backlog and deciding effective delivery methods
You will be working with Cross Functional teams to build features for end-to-end Commerce processes

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience
8+ years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript)
5+ years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects
3+ years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role
In-depth knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle
Preferred Requirements:
Solid understanding of scrum techniques and artifacts such as User stories, Backlog grooming, QA Automation etc.
Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills
Working experience and knowledge of few Agile Frameworks
Expert level understanding of digital trends and impact on various industries and how it can enable business transformation and build true value
Demonstrated leadership experience across digital, program management, innovation, and experience design
Hands on programming experience is a plus
Compassion, curiosity, and desire to improve and constantly learn
