The opportunity: Covering multi-sites, you will drive engagement in all areas of HR including employee relations, policies & procedures, recruitment and talent management. In this role, you will be the business liaison for managing union relationships and be integral to the continuous improvement of HR metrics for site.
How you will impact WestRock:
Responsible for providing proactive, effective and efficient HR advice across the entire employee life cycle. This includes coaching and guidance to senior management, line managers and staff within a multi-site unionised environment
Lead and deliver HR projects and change initiatives
Driving talent mapping, development, succession planning projects to meet business/HR strategy
Provide HR guidance for frontline recruitment and support the development and implementation of entry level programmes such as apprenticeships and graduate development
Encourage and promote good working relationship with external bodies e.g. local schools/colleges/universities and other learning establishments, tapping into available funding that supports training budget costs
Provide an effective HR administration service when required ensuring that employee data/information is handled, stored, recorded, processed and retrieved in a professional, confidential, accurate and timely manner, in accordance with data protection
What you need to succeed:
Previous HR Generalist experience
Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills to establish credibility and respect whilst building strong working relationships
Strong understanding of UK Employment Law
Possess exceptional oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to change in the work environment
CIPD qualification would be desirable
This role will require frequent travel to 3x sites (Bristol, Tewkesbury and Greenford)
