We are seeking motivated and talented Software Engineer (Web Applications Robotics) to join our Technology Strategy Development (International) development team. As a Software Engineer (Web Applications Robotics), you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing software applications to validate concepts and explore new ideas. You will have the opportunity to drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies, including AI, simulations, robotics and automations in UPS. Responsibilities:

Work closely with stakeholders to understand a project’s software requirements and specifications.

Lead the design and development of software applications. Software applications to be developed include but are not limited to web applications and 3d simulations.

Collaborating with the project team to deploy software applications using DevOps technology.

Conduct iterative testing and gather feedback to refine and improve application’s functionality and user interactions.

Play a crucial role in communicating with business stakeholders about the impacts and benefits of the software applications developed.

Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in robotics and automation.

Document the development process, including design decisions and technical specifications, to support knowledge sharing and future development.

Qualifications:

Possess a Master's/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics Engineering or a related field.

More than 5 years of experience in software development, including playing a lead role in software development.

Proficiency in developing software applications utilizing python and JavaScript framework.

Possess experience with front-end web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks.

Possess experience with RESTful APIs and database systems.

Possess experience working in cloud environments such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Possess experience with simulation and modeling tools.

Display strong knowledge of software development methodologies, particularly Agile and Scrum.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in C++, CI/CD pipelines and related tools (e.g. terraform) will be a plus.

Prior experience with Robotics Operating System (ROS), with strong understanding of robotics principles, kinematics, and control systems will be advantageous.

Experience as a scrum master is a plus.
