Our team builds innovative network data processing products for unique operational environments, and we’re growing! We are looking for a Software Development Engineer with a passion for building and deploying high-rate, realtime packet processing software for multiple network types (IP, RF, optical).

In this role, you will leverage your network data processing software expertise, modern software engineering (CI/CD, infrastructure as code, operations automation) experience, and your collaboration skills to build, deliver, and operate software-defined network data processing systems.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and willing to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance.

  Key job responsibilities

Own the full software lifecycle for significant portions of the architecture, from initial ideation through operations

Develop performant packet processing algorithms based on established mathematical and scientific principles

Implement high-throughput, realtime packet processing software in C++ and Rust

Build and use test, deployment, and operations automation tooling in cloud and edge environments

Integrate your software into partner and customer systems, and support operations of those systems

Effectively collaborate with a broad set of internal and external stakeholders

  A day in the life

You will work with a talented team of builders to solve demanding customer data processing and delivery problems across a variety of network types. You will build, test, deploy, and operate your software in cloud, hybrid, and edge environments. You will leverage your creativity, curiosity, and passion to deliver scalable systems.

  About the team

We leverage modern software and system design practices to deliver communications and data processing solutions for customers with unique technical and operational needs. We are innovators, we thrive on hard challenges, and we support each other to learn and grow. Come work with us!

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

  Basic Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

Experience programming with at least one software programming language

3 years experience with modern C++ or Rust in systems or embedded contexts

  Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Digital signal processing (DSP) experience in RF or other analog domains

Experience developing hardware-accelerated, realtime data processing software (SIMD, GPU, FPGA) in areas such as packet inspection, transcoding, software-defined radio, or reliable data delivery.

2+ years building and using cloud-native software development, deployment, and operations tools

Experience building and using algorithm modeling, benchmarking, and prototyping systems
