　　Kalmar is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Kalmar Digital Solutions team in Kalmar’s Strategy, Sustainability and Technology function.

　　In this role you will join a team of software experts building solutions ranging from data ingestion from machines to desktop applications to cloud applications. In this role you should be able to implement features independently and together with the team. You are able to communicate effectively when analysing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues together with other developers and stakeholders.

　　Main tasks and responsibilities

　　Designing and implementing features into existing and greenfield solutions Kalmar product divisions have

　　Depending on your seniority

　　mentoring and coaching other developers

　　discussing with the relevant stakeholders to get a better understanding of the requirements and their details

　　What you’ll need to succeed

　　Education

　　Bachelors or Masters of Science in software engineering

　　Experience

　　Several years of professional experience in designing and developing software

　　Strong working knowledge in programming languages like TypeScript, Python or C++

　　Proven track record of crafting elegant and fit-for-purpose system and software architectures

　　Good working knowledge of desktop and web applications

　　Understanding of automation and infrastructure management tools like CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform, Jenkins, Ansible or similar

　　Natural drive for continuous learning and interacting with the development team community

　　Proficiency with agile and lean software development methodologies

　　Strong analytical problem solving skills

　　Good communication skills allowing collaboration with stakeholders from various backgrounds

　　Proficiency in English (written and verbal)

　　Additionally we appreciate

　　Understanding of data acquisition for industrial IoT applications

　　Understanding of the mobile work machines industry and how machine control systems work

　　Understanding of autonomous vehicle development

　　Understanding of the cargo handling industry
