What You Will Do: A sleep technologistworks under the general supervision of the medical director or designeeto provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disordersincluding in center and home sleep apnea testing, diagnostic andtherapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care and direct patienteducation. A sleep technologist is credentialed in sleep technology andis able to provide oversight of other sleep center staff. Techniciansand trainees work under the direct supervision of the credentialed sleeptechnologist or the medical director. You Will Need: Successfulcompletion of a sleep technology program associated with a statelicensed and/or a nationally accredited educational facility orequivalent experience and documented proficiency for all competenciesrequired of a sleep technician. Certification by a nationally recognizedcertification board and holds either the Registered Sleep Technologist(RST), Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), or SleepDisorders Specialist (SDS) credential. If not registered at hire mustcomplete within 2 years of hire.
