We are looking to add a Construction Site Superintendent based in West Michigan who will support Design-Build project delivery and the Construction Management delivery of projects designed by F&V Engineering. In this role you will be responsible for supervising construction activities and providing responsive support to our construction management and engineering staff. Responsibilities * Supervise municipal water, wastewater, and transportation infrastructure, commercial, and industrial projects * Maintain compliance with safety regulations * Develop and maintain positive team, client and contractor relationships while representing the firm in an upbeat and professional manner * Understand project scope, contracts, and design documents * Coordinate with and monitor work of subcontractors and the construction team to ensure contractual conditions, deadlines, and cost limitations are met * Attend and participate in project meetings, including pre-bid, subcontractor meetings, and walk-throughs * Maintain accurate construction records. Manage schedules, including preparation of detailed short-term schedules and ensuring work proceeds on or ahead of scheduled dates. * Coordinate mobilization (job trailer, dumpster, temporary utilities etc.) and de-mobilization (site cleanup) * Review and understand budget items; change orders, pay requests and provide recommendations to the Project Manager * Deliver on-budget, on-time profitable performance Qualifications * Degree in a construction related field is desired * At least 5 years of experience in construction / design-build supervision * Experience with and knowledge of municipal infrastructure and wastewater treatment is highly desirable * Valid MI Driver’s License required * Excellent written and oral communication skills and knowledge of construction methods and regulations * Knowledge of MIOSHA safety regulations / certifications * Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook software * Experience with scheduling software The ideal candidate will be able to perform as a superintendent on CM delivered projects and as a construction technician on design-bid-build projects.
