Summary
This position is responsible for the day to day operation, training and process related activities of Statesboro Warehouse (i.e. movement of finished goods, loading and unloading, all required documentation). The Shipping Lead distributes the daily order assignments to all shipping team members, and assists with completion of all RMA’s per company guidelines and procedures.
Essential Duties
Operate Fork-lift
Print Bills of Lading and prepare shipping documents as needed.
Support the shipping window by facilitating driver check in/out\
Assign and distribute orders to material handlers.
Processes RMA’s and backs up Receiving in all capacities, especially inbound loads, receipts and RMA’s.
Schedule Carrier Pick-Ups and Assign Carriers to Orders as needed.
Responsible for accurate inventory counts as scheduled/requested.
Assists with Cycle counts and acts as back up when Manager is out.
Hold Daily Safety Stand-Up Meeting and discuss all safety concerns with Shipping Team Members and Manager.
Assists Supply Chain Manager with warehouse product management (WMS) to ensure space optimization.
Assists with incident/accident investigations, updating JSA’s and shipping procedures, and ensuring compliance with all safety, logistics and plant policies and procedures.\
Ensures Material handlers/Forklift operators know the proper storage area for finished products and follows the WMS (Warehouse Management system).
Communicates effectively with Customer Care by messenger, email or phone as needed.
Supports the Logistics Department with effective and timely shipment of finished products, inventory and efficient receiving of raw materials.
Backup the Logistics Coordinator as needed.
Develop and issue reports as requested (i.e. Inventory, cycle count accuracy, scrap and housekeeping)
Assists in training employees and temporary workers on safety and logistics procedures and WMS system.
Load Trucks with Outgoing Materials or Finished Goods
Transfer Material between Production and Shipping Department using Fork-Lift
Prompt reporting of all known failures, malfunctions, or wear issues on equipment in assigned work area regarding orders
Work safely and wear the required PPE for each particular job.
Follow all safety and housekeeping procedures as outlined in company policies
Promptly report all known safety issues once observed and take appropriate action if required.

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Previous Fork-lift Certification

6+ months of experience in Leading Others
6+ months of experience in Shipping Finished Goods, Order Picking, & Loading Trucks
Excellent Communication skills - proficient in written, verbal, and listening skills
Demonstrated willingness to be actively involved in day to day Plant activities
Familiarity with Safety activities, safe behavior observations, and team activities Excellent Problem Solver
Excellent Leadership Skills
Intermediate Computer skills
