Based at InterContinental Muscat , Shift Engineer is responsible to support the whole engineering team and to ensure that the engineering and maintenance operations within the hotel, including general property maintenance, are working properly and up to the hotels operating standards.

You are also responsible to keep all equipment in good repair providing day-to-day maintenance support to the hotel. Additionally, work towards and support the improvement of engineering service to guests, other departments and colleagues.

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

Properly monitors the day to day equipment operations to minimize the energy and water wastes.

Physically take rounds of all the major equipment areas and notifies if any faults to avoid any unnecessary wastages of energy.

Provides information coordinates and corporate with subordinates.

Keeps a safe work environment at all times

Respond in a courteous and prompt manner to all guest questions, complaints or requests to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.

Focuses on heartbeat action points and acts accordingly

Oversee the daily operations to find possible ways to save on energy

What We need from you:

Ideally with diploma in Electrical/A/C or any other related qualification plus two to three year experience in a similar position. Must be having an excellent leadership skills and problem resolving attitude. Good command in English and computer skill will be an added advantage
