  Summary About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command, Support Activity Army G2X, assigned to Headquarters, Department of the Army at the Pentagon. Responsibilities Serves as the Executive Staff Analyst in the Headquarters Army, G2, U.S. Army Intelligence Security Command, supporting the Civilian Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff, G-2 (ADCS, G-2). The Executive Staff Assistant, in coordination with the Executive Officer, provides and executes a full range of management support to ensure the efficient operation and workflow of the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff (ODCS) G-2 offices. Ensures priority actions are properly staffed and executed throughout the organization. Provides administrative management and technical support duties in the form of calendar maintenance/scheduling, travel planning and coordination, and office supply management. Makes recommendations to the Civilian ADCS G-2 concerning support to selected activities with focus on intelligence, security, financial resources, accountability, human resources, and management services support. Provides executive management, assistance, and support for all administrative operations within the DCS, G-2 Command Group as needed. Serves as interface between the Civilian Deputy, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-2 and subordinate Directorates, relaying or obtaining information, scheduling briefings, and transmitting instructions as indicated. Conducts privileged communications for highly confidential personnel actions and other sensitive management actions. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) providing administrative support to high-ranking organizational leaders; 2) advising on the operations of an executive office in matters such as day-to-day operations, resource management, civilian personnel and regulatory compliance; AND 3) preparing official communication at an executive level for an organization such as briefings, correspondence, slides and charts. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS/GG-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer Service Problem Solving Technical Credibility Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. Direct Deposit of Pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
