We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer to join the team! The Senior Test Engineer provides technical and hands-on leadership and development in system design for testing Teledyne Imaging Sensor’s highly complex FPA Testing program and by assuming the responsibilities of characterizing, testing and evaluating infrared focal plane arrays.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Develops novel approaches and new analysis methods for FPA testing.
Leads development of the test stations from concept through release into production, based on the flow down requirements from System Engineering or customer.
Hand-on work with building test equipment (electronics and dewars)
Tests infrared and visible FPAs to verify and validate test systems and support debugging/tuning of new ROICs, ASICs and detectors.
Creates detailed test procedures and related work instructions.
Provides test data analysis in the forms of reports and presentations to program managers, internal engineering teams and customers.
Provides customer support for pre and post-sale, supports customer requirements definition and concept of operations development
Performs post-delivery debugging of device operation and optimization of device performance in customer environment.
Frequently works with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for tracking and reporting of data
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Competencies
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following qualifications and competencies:
Advanced computer proficiency level using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)
Understanding of infrared detector performance and test system development.
Knowledge of read out integrated circuit (ROIC) operation.
Understanding of test system operation
Skills in IR FPA performance testing
Ability to provide hardware/software specifications.
Knowledge in hardware integration and validations.
Familiarity with cryogenic test systems.
Clearly communicates very complex ideas, in writing and verbally.
Performs work without appreciable management direction and exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment.
Able to handle multiple challenging unstructured areas of responsibility.
Education and/or Experience
Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with ten (10) years of experience in sensor systems integration and testing
Experience in the supervision of department staff

Salary Range:
$118,800.00-$158,730.000
