Description We are seeking a Billing Specialist to join our team in Sanford, Florida. The role involves handling various aspects of the billing process, such as processing customer payments and maintaining accurate records. This position plays a critical role in ensuring a streamlined flow through the entire revenue cycle, ultimately leading to proper reimbursement and reduced deductions.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently process customer credit applications and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
• Handle incoming payments with accuracy and ensure timely allocation of customer payments to the corresponding open invoices.
• Track accounts receivable to ensure customer accounts are monitored and managed effectively.
• Work closely with internal teams to determine the cause of any payment delinquencies and escalate issues as appropriate.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, identifying any payment discrepancies that need to be addressed.
• Utilize a workflow that aligns with the revenue cycle and assists in the development of efficient methods.
• Conduct daily incoming and outgoing transactions within the scope of the revenue cycle.
• Communicate with internal and external customers for resolution on items identified as transactional errors.
• Use various electronic systems to enter data, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the data.

• Knowledge of Sage Software for managing financial tasks
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
• Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex billing issues.
