Eaton’s Aerospace IS AER ITD Interconnect division is currently seeking a Senior Test Engineer. This role supports vibration and connectivity testing of electrical interconnects for Space related products/ projects.

　　The expected annual salary range for this role is $88837.47 - $130294.96 a year.

　　What you’ll do:

　　PRIMARY FUNCTION:

　　The Senior Test Engineer will support test activities and deliverables for our interconnect technology product lines, including fixturing and equipment selection, internal and external test execution, and presentation of test results to internal and external stakeholders.

　　ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

　　• Leads and executes qualification and retention test programs in accordance with internal, customer, and Aerospace industry requirements.

　　• Works with program management and a cross functional team within an integrated product team environment to actively manage test planning and execution.

　　• Develops test program plans including defining tasks, resource requirements, test fixturing, test configuration, and test facility selection and coordination.

　　• Works directly with customers and external test facilities to quote and manage schedules of test programs.

　　• Ensures that test procedures meet all Eaton environmental health and safety requirements.

　　• Serves as a liaison to customer test witnesses during test program execution.

　　• Leads or assists in root cause problem solving activities using standard methods, processes, and techniques.

　　• Understands and incorporates the latest test technology and digital tools/software to improve test efficiency, quality, and safety.

　　Qualifications:

　　Required

　　o Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or similar engineering field from an ABET accredited institution.

　　o Minimum 3 years of product engineering experience and/or test engineering required.

　　o Knowledge and/or prior experience conducting product testing to include vibration, shock, environmental, and mechanical testing.

　　o Ability to interpret and generate 3D CAD models and drawings.

　　o Candidate must be legally authorized to work in United States without company sponsorship.

　　o This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must have U.S. Citizenship to qualify for Top Secret clearance.

　　o Relocation not available for this role. Candidate must currently reside within 50 miles of Camarillo, California.

　　Preferred

　　o Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or similar engineering field from an ABET accredited institution.

　　o Minimum 5 years of experience in test engineering.

　　o Direct experience designing, conducting, and writing reports on Aerospace mechanical and/or electrical product testing.

　　o Direct experience designing, building, and validating test fixtures for Aerospace mechanical and/or electrical product testing.

　　o General awareness/knowledge of aircraft Electrical Wiring Interconnect Systems (EWIS).

　　o General knowledge of interconnect components (connectors, backshells, wiring assemblies) for aviation, aerospace, and industrial markets.

　　o Experience using Enovia Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) software.

　　o Additional Certifications: Lean 6-sigma methods preferred, including Design for Six Sigma (DFSS/SSDD) Green Belt or Black Belt

　　o Knowledge of ECN/ECO (Engineering Change Order or Notification) processes for document change management.

　　o Proficiency in Product Data Management or Product Life-Cycle Management (PDM/PLM) systems for document control and workflow management.

　　o Structure, design, and authoring of compliance matrices and test plans/procedures/reports.
