JOB REQUIREMENTS: Reference and Background Specialist (BilingualSpanish/English Required) Job Purpose: Under the direction of theManager of RBI Services, the Reference and Background Specialist ensuresthe accurate and timely processing and completion of all customerrequests for reference and background information on specifiedcandidates, in accordance with company policies and procedures. MajorDuties and Responsibilities: Process requests according to report duedates, create orders in TazWorks, order criminal/credit/socialsecurity/DMV reports as required, gather required information tocomplete orders in a timely manner. Notify Department Manager of issuesor report problems immediately and take action to correct discrepancies.Provide reference checking services, education verifications, employmentverifications and establish or maintain relationships and respond to allinquiries. Gather information or utilize available resources to provideusage information to meet department criteria and deadlines. Communicatewith customer to address and resolve inquiries, issues, problems, etc.,ensuring the maintenance of positive customer relationships. Updatecustomers on order delays and document cause Complete and clean upcriminal records in a timely manner, follow up on problem items in allareas with court clerks and other law enforcement agencies. Maintain allrequired paperwork, records, documents, logs, electronic files, andfollow established departmental procedures and standards in accordancewith applicable laws. Have an understanding of terminology used incriminal courts and records to determine if crimes fall within thereportable period. Complete special projects as assigned by the Managerof RBI Services. Respond to questions from other RBI staff and internalemployees. Understand TazWorks system and be familiar with all basicfunctions and features available to users MinimumQualifications/Additional Performance Criteria: Education: Requires atleast one year of related work experience; or a combination of relatededucation and experience.
