The Boeing Global Services, Learning and Technical Data organization is seeking a Senior Technical Publications Project Management Specialist to maintain and sustain Flight Manuals for the C-17 program. This position is located either in Joint Base Lewis-McChord or one of these listed sites:
Warner Robins, GA
Dover, DE
Joint Base Charleston, SC
McGuire AFB, NJ
Travis AFB, CA
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the above referenced location options.
Position Responsibilities:
Authors flight manual changes / revisions in response to customer requests, aircraft modifications/updates, Crisis Management Team issues, safety board results, and Flight Manual Review Conference inputs.
Supports flight manual supplement development at FMM direction.
Acts as subject matter expert for C-17 operational updates.
Interfaces with Flight Manual Manager (FMM) and primary C-17 operators as required to resolve operational issues related to flight publications.
Authors changes / revisions to support Foreign Military Sales (FMS) aircraft flight manuals.
Performs integration and configuration control functions for C-17 FMS customers.
Monitors flight publications for adherence to military / program standards
Leads quality reviews for flight manual changes.
Creates paper and/or electronic flight manuals to support customers as required.
The Senior Technical Publications Project Management Specialist will also:
Direct and monitor extensive, specialized technical data development from the program level ensuring technical data is developed and delivered on schedule and in accordance with contract requirements.
Provide expertise on processes to ensure technical manual data/procedures are documented and current.
Direct program scheduling and reporting efforts and resolves complex issues.
Advise management on the negotiation of contracts and develops summary estimates relevant to technical data development.
Work with customers on complex pricing and scheduling issues.
Coordinate information related to configuration changes that impact publication data.
Lead new business pursuits and process improvements.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree or higher
Experience as a pilot
Experience working with Flight Manuals
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with high volume files on multiple devices
Experience with batch files or scripts
Typical Education/ Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).
Relocation:
This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range (Level 4): 115,600 - 156,400
