TheSenior Systems Engineer will lead the engineering integration and coreengineering teams through the development process in defining systeminteractions and requirements. Core responsibilities include theidentification of system hardware and software components and evaluatinginputs/outputs for sufficient performance of design as specified by theproduct requirements. The Senior Systems Engineer follows the NPIProcess from the concept stage in developing design requirements byassessing architecture and system design options through product launchin defining verification and validation test procedures. Projectssupported reside within Generac\'s Consumer Power Business Unitincluding home standby generators, clean solutions, hybrid architecturesand power management solutions based on business priorities. EssentialDuties *Capture customer needs and system level requirements bybrainstorming with Core Engineering, Business Partners, Product Ownersand Product Managers as required. *Manage product and systemrequirements, specifications and flow down. Drive validation andverification activities for the overall product/system, including suband full system testing. *Work across engineering functions in definingsystems strategy and coordinating technical reviews. Engage in technicaldiscussions; participate in technical designs and present technicalideas. *Define systems test strategy and perform hands on productintegration activities. *Create and maintain Statements of Requirements(SOR), block diagrams and systems inputs/outputs. *Support productdevelopment plans (schedule, product cost, meeting design inputs).*Interface with internal company personnel and provide technicalsupport for assigned projects. *Create, design, and develop testspecifications for new systems and firmware/software. *Occasionaltravel to other Generac facilities and customer sites. *Proactivelytrain, coach, and mentor less experienced Engineers. MinimalQualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Mechanical,Software or other related engineering degree. 5+ years relatedexperience. Preferred Qualifications: Master\'s in a STEM major(Physics, Technology, Engineering and Math).
