Science Systems and Applications Inc (SSAI) is in search of an experienced Program Manager to lead a dedicated team in support of a NIH Contract. The Program Manager will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer. This position, based in Lanham, MD, requires in-office presence during various stages of the contract development process. The Program Manager will play a crucial role in the successful execution of the contract, overseeing project leads, managing program P/L, and providing comprehensive reporting to Senior Management. In addition, the PM is a member of SSAI's Senior Management Team and participates actively in corporate initiatives including Business Development (marketing and proposal efforts), strategic planning, employee mentoring, community support activities, and corporate social functions. This position is located onsite at our offices Lanham, MD.
Responsibilities:
Contract Execution:Identify task orders that align with company goals and objectives, work with leadership to perform go/no-go, submit bids and respond to request for information.
Identify appropriate resources
Oversee the effective execution of the Contract, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations.
Manage project leads, fostering collaboration and driving successful project outcomes.
Financial Management:Assume responsibility for program finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
Work closely with the finance team to ensure fiscal responsibility and compliance with financial guidelines.
Stakeholder Engagement:Engage with the customer to respond to IDIQ Tasks, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.
Cultivate and enhance relationships with NIH stakeholders, contributing to the growth of SSAI's presence within the NIH community.
Strategic Leadership:Provide strategic leadership to the team, guiding them towards achieving program objectives.
Collaborate with Senior Management, reporting on program progress, risks, and opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 10 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5 years of experience managing groups of employees involved in science, engineering, and technology support
Proven experience in program management, with a focus on government contracting and NIH projects.
Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and forecasting.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with IDIQ Task response processes and NIH required.
