SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER You will join an international R&D team designing wireless networking systems and protocols for our continuously powered and battery powered products. You have an experience in cellular technologies that will reinforce the team as they design cutting-edge IoT products using LTE and 5G. You have a background related to SW or FW design that will allow you to autonomously conduct feasibility studies and PoC work, write technical specifications to be used by other colleagues to design and develop the production firmware, and support product testing to completion. You look at each problem with a holistic vision and enjoy working on the details of the solution in a creative way. Duties: Design, write, and update specifications for Cellular and RF Mesh communication Systems. This includes networking and application layers protocols in the context of Electricity/Gas/Water Meters, Streetlight controllers and other IoT devices. Navigate, understand, and modify firmware code in C/C++ for the associated devices. Conduct detailed investigations to apply new technologies and industry trends. Participate to the different phases of a product's lifetime starting from early planning and design through development and testing, supporting FW and SW teams, up to production, maintenance, and end of life. Ensure that products shipped meet specifications and quality goals. Debug and solve issues related to firmware design, hardware interfaces, and code implementation based on unit testing results. Support manufacturing and SQA teams with code installation, product configuration and product testing - issues. Provide technical guidance and complex subject matter training to less experienced team members and interact with several teams based in different worldwide locations. Lead in the project planning process and participate in requirements gathering. Provide excellent and appropriate written and oral communications to peers, management staff, and customers.
