　　ManTech is seeking a Senior System Safety and Environmental Engineer in the CCSFS, FL area. The position supports Space Systems Command (SSC) from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The candidate will support the certification of New Entrant Launch Service Providers.

　　General Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

　　Develop and execute system safety and environmental engineering audit plans for system safety, space safety and range safety iaw with AF and DoD instructions, requirements, and policies.

　　Assess, capture, and track certification system safety and environmental engineering status, risks, and risk mitigation plans.

　　Continually assess Launch Service Provider launch site development/operations

　　Assess launch provider environmental documentation in accordance with State and Federal environmental requirements, ordinances, and laws.

　　Participate in major reviews for the launch system and major sub-systems

　　Evaluate the impact and resolution of mishaps and other system safety violations.

　　Assess compliance with orbital debris and disposal requirements iaw applicable guidance, policy, instruction, and international law.

　　Interface with on-site certification representatives to include USAF, Government, New Entrant, and other Government agencies.

　　Applies company quality assurance requirements to all certification products, reports, and reviews.

　　Develop and present technical summary reports

　　Mandatory Skill Requirements:

　　A Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or similar field.

　　Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

　　Demonstrated experience in launch site design, testing, manufacturing, and operations

　　Background in launch or satellite systems is highly desired

　　Strong work ethic, self-starter. Able to work independently

　　Knowledge and experience with government and commercial industry standards applicable to launch vehicles

　　US Citizenship is required. Applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by the ITAR (22 CFR §120.15)

　　Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　Strong team player

　　Analytical and critical thinking skills

　　Strong written and oral communications skills

　　Exceptional skills in Microsoft Office suite, especially MS Word and PowerPoint

　　Excellent presentation skills

　　Physical Requirements:

　　Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

　　Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

　　Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

　　Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
